July 09 - OrthoCanada launches the new V-Series Treatment Tables Line

OrthoCanada has introduced the New V-Series Treatment Tables, including 3-Section, 5-Section, Bobath and Osteopath models.

June 09 - OrthoCanada Research Award in Neck and Back Rehabilitation and Core Stability

The 2009 OrthoCanada research Award goes to Dr. Cathy Arnold of the School of Physical Therapy, University of Saskatchewan. The award will provide funding for Dr. Arnold's project entitled "The Effect of Core Stabilization Exercises Added to a Fall Prevention Program on the Kinematics of Functional Activity and Balance Performance in Older Adults at Risk of Falls".
 
Dr. Cathy Arnold's project will "provide physical therapists with new information on the impact of exercise commonly used in the clinic on fall risk in older adults and will advance knowledge regarding the type and dosage of exercise important for the senior population". This award is presented as part of the research programs administered by the Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada.

May 09 - OrthoCanada becomes the Canadian Distributor of BTE Technologies

OrthoCanada is proud to announce that it has partnered with BTE Technologies from Baltimore, Maryland to independently represent BTE’s assessment and rehabilitation technology in Canada.  BTE is a world leader in testing and rehabilitation technology. For more than 25 years BTE has developed advanced solutions for clinicians and providers, including the MultiCervical Unit, the Evaluator, the Simulator II, the Primus RS and now the new TechTrainer.

OrthoCanada will be responsible for handling any new sales with the clinical support of Elizabeth Chapman, BTE Business Development Manager for Canada and Aaron Budweg, BTE Market Development Manager.
